A Moment of Brokenness
“I’m so sorry, Jesus…”
That was all I could whisper as I sat on my bed, hugging my Bible close and
sobbing uncontrollably. My pillow was drenched with tears, but even that
couldn’t wash away the weight I felt inside.
It suddenly hit me like a wave-I had been so selfish.
Not in a loud, obvious way… but in a quiet, subtle drifting. I had chased dreams, crafted ambitions, and set personal goals, all wrapped in glitter and glamor, but I never paused to ask: “Lord, is this Your will?”
The Wake-Up Call
While studying the Word, I stumbled upon that familiar verse in Matthew 6:33:
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
— Matthew 6:33 (ESV)
I froze. My heart sank.
At that moment, it was as if God
gently pulled back the curtain and showed me where I had gone wrong. I had
sidelined His kingdom. I had been caught up in worldly fantasies and the
shallow glow of financial dreams. My mind had become so consumed with me—my
goals, my image, my success—that I forgot about Him.
His Love Still Found Me
As I cried, something beautiful
happened. I felt this gentle, overwhelming warmth. Not condemnation—but love.
Not anger—but peace. His Spirit flooded my heart like a quiet river, reminding
me that He still wanted me.
Even in my mess, Jesus was right
there… waiting.
A New Resolution
“Jesus, from now on, I put Your
kingdom first,” I whispered through the tears.
And I meant it.
No more chasing empty glory. No more
building castles in the sand. It’s His agenda now. His heartbeat is my mission.
My time, my energy, my resources—I’m pouring them into my Father’s business.
Because I’m not just any girl… I’m His daughter. An heir to a kingdom
that will never fade.
And guess what? His business is now
my business.️
To You Reading This…
Maybe you've been there. Maybe
you're still there—running, striving, chasing dreams that deep down leave you
empty.
Please know this: His arms are
always open. You’re never too far gone to come home. He still wants your heart.
Say it with me if you’re ready:
“Jesus, I’m sorry… I’m coming back.”
With love and teary eyes,
– A Redeemed Heart 💞
